GET TO KNOW THE OWNERS

Brett Myers - Master Illusionist

1.) Where are you originally from?

Chambersburg, PA

2.) How long have you been performing, and how did you get into the magic world?

I started performing when I was 14 years old after a friend loaned me some DVDs that taught me simple magic tricks with everyday household objects. I began touring after high school and spent a decade traveling the country before deciding to settle down in Lancaster and open Magic & Wonder Theater.

3.) What is your favorite illusion/act in the new show?

My favorite illusion this year is the brand new levitation where one of the ladies soars high into the air, and then I also fly up to the same height before making her vanish in mid-air. This is an illusion I’ve always dreamed of doing and is one that looks like it was made perfectly for our theater.

4.) What has been your proudest moment since starting Magic & Wonder?

I remember sitting down with our team and watching the new show together soon after we launched MYSTERY. I was struck by the amount of growth we experienced just in the past year. We’ve added multiple large illusions, special effects, and lighting elements to the show. But they all come together to take audiences to another reality, to a world of wonder. I was so grateful in that moment to see the hard work our entire team has put in the past seven years, the opportunity the Cosgrove family from Best Western and Revere Tavern has given us, and the belief that our fans have shown by coming back year after year.

5.) What do you hope guests get from seeing a show at Magic & Wonder?

I hope every guest—regardless of age or background—is able to forget all differences for 2 hours to share a unifying experience of breathtaking wonder.

Labrina Myers - Sales Director

Labrina is the female half of the founders at Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater. She is a performer, mother, and Brett’s greatest cheerleader. She’s performed full-time alongside Brett for years – from getting sawn in half to performing acrobatics high above the audience on the aerial silks. Recently, Labrina transitioned off the stage to head up another branch of the business and spend some extra time with their sons, Starlin and Kye. But show business is in her blood, and she expects to reconnect with her performing roots in the future!

1.) Where are you originally from?

I grew up traveling full-time with my family, so we were in a different location every week for much of my childhood. But I consider Loretto, TN, my hometown!

2.) How long have you been performing, and how did you get into the magic world?

I performed my first magic trick on stage when I was 2 years old with my daddy kneeling right beside me. My parents taught me the importance of making every moment on stage about others, not about myself. After college, I had the opportunity to perform at Magic Beyond Belief in Pigeon Forge, TN, for a season, and I grew not only as a performer but as a person during that time.

3.) What is your favorite illusion/act in the new show?

My favorite moment isn’t actually an illusion. It’s the opening to “Atlantis” where audiences experience what I consider the most immersive scene in the entire show. The lighting, special effects, circus arts, and music blend in a way that pulls you into a completely different dimension.

4.) What has been your proudest moment since starting Magic & Wonder?

There have been so many moments where I’ve been speechless, amazed that we get to live this life, creating wonder for audiences every show. And I’m continually blown away by how committed our team is to creating incredible guest experiences. I think my proudest moment was standing on the stage after our opening show in 2020. Earlier that year, Brett and I literally had felt like our dream was withering away. We hadn’t been sure if the theater would ever reopen. The entire world was still walking through so much uncertainty. Yet we kept going, doubting our “how” but never our “why.” And for those two hours of opening night, everyone in the room was able to experience hope and wonder during a time we needed them most.

5.) What do you hope guests get from seeing a show at Magic & Wonder?

I hope that guests leave feeling ALIVE and more connected to the people around them. There is something about a live performance that helps us live in the moment, disconnected from work, worries, or reality. But that brief disconnect helps us reconnect with imagination, creativity, and wonder. It reawakens a part of our soul that helps us live with purpose. And when we are fully alive, we can serve and love others better.
